The 2015 Creating Healthy Communities Summit will give you the will, skill, and ability to achieve community-level goals. Roll up your sleeves as we build upon the dynamic dialogue and synergy that generated last year’s “Big Ideas,” and utilize the Collective Impact framework to move from ideas to ACTION.
This will be an action focused summit building on last year’s summit that identified cross-sector health priority areas in Idaho. The summit will provide skills based training on the Collective Impact framework and allow participants to begin to identify action steps in their communities to address the four identified priorities to achieve lasting community level change: access to healthy foods, access to care, active, public transportation and healthy, active kids.
Tyler Norris, Vice President, Total Health Partnerships at Kaiser Permanente, will again facilitate the summit engagement, and Jay Connor, Founder and CEO of the Collaboratory for Community Support will offer the keynote address. Jay’s expertise spans years of leadership in both the private and public sectors, and the three core ideas or themes that emerge from Jay’s work are Community Visions, Community Solutions and Collaboration; all linked by intentionality.
